The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) recently published the notification that there are many job vacancies mainly for the Group A officers and Group B officers post that comprise of office assistants and officers from scale I to scale III. The IBPS is a very reputed banking exam foundation that has many opportunities for students who want to pursue a career in the banking jobs and positions. All the eligible candidates are encouraged to apply any date between 12th July 2017 and 01st August 2017. There will also be an examination that will be conducted for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the selection of this personnel and officers from scale I to scale III that is marketing officer, agricultural officer, treasury manager etc.
There are about 14192 vacancies available for the post of the Officers Assistant and Officers from Scale I to Scale III in many of the major states in India. So, all the eligible candidates are welcome to apply, but preferably well before the deadline, that is 01st August 2017.
How to apply:
All the eligible and interested candidates can apply for this position by writing an online examination which basically comprises of two rounds, the preliminary round and the main exam or the final exam. After clearing this, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the final HR interview. For the officers Scale I and office assistants, there will be an online examination, but for officers scale II there will be a common interview and single online examination (Generalists and Specialists), and also scale III.
All the candidates who are interested in applying for this post can pay a fee of Rs 100/- if they fall under the category of SC/ST/PWD/EXSM and the candidates who fall under the general merit (GM) category need to pay a fee of Rs. 600/-, which includes candidates who are applying for officers scale I, II and III; and these payments can be made using debit cards, credit cards, netbanking or online transfer using IMPS, cash cards or mobile wallets like Paytm and RuPay. Any banking/intimation charges and fees will have to be taken care of by the candidate itself.
The entrance exam that needs to be written for this basically expects students to have atleast some mastery over managerial aspects of corporate life. Candidates can get a fair idea about the exam pattern, syllabus and other details as well from the home page. The exam paper mainly comprises of about four sections; Aptitude section, General Knowledge section, Logical Reasoning questions and the miscellaneous section. The candidates who clear this exam will then be required to appear for the final exam which will comprise of a few more sections compared to the preliminary round, including a few technical sections as well. The candidates will be selected based on the performance in the final exam and will be sent for the final HR interview.
The eligible and interested candidates should be between 20 and 28 years of age as on 1st August 2016. The relaxation of age will be given upto 5 years for the SC/ST candidates and upto 3 years for the general category candidates. Apart from the age factor, the candidates should possess a graduate degree in any field (preferably computer science) from a University that is recognized by the Government of India or any operations pertaining to the central government operations for officers scale 1, a degree in horticulture/agriculture/animal husbandry etc for officers scale II and finally Chartered Accountancy or an MBA degree is preferred for officers scale III. A degree in computer science is preferred for all the officers scales I, II and III.
The last date to submit the application is on or before 01st August 2017. The candidates are free to apply anytime before this date, but after 12th July, 2017 as the exam will commence once the registrations are done.
